We use http://www.all-inkl.com and all our tests are ok.

Domain Factory:

Nothing worked for me, gives always 404 error code.

Tested with another subfolder that contains a normal hello-world-index.html file, this worked.

This is strange. 2a should ALWAYS work. Could you please check if you didn't make any mistake.

What I think maybe could be a problem is the fact that I nedd to upload every website (so also your api folder) into a "webseiten" folder in my root directory, but I can open it without using the "webseiten" path in my url, so I should be able to open http://www.mydomain.de/api. As I said, I tested it with another test folder and a dummy index.html and this worked, so I'm quite sure that I copied it into the right place and called it as you described.

Tried it out with a subdomain (subdomain.mydomain.de) in order to get rid off that "webseiten" folder, put the api folder into the subdomains target folder, same problem on performing your tests. The subdomain works, tested this with a dummy index.html on the same level as your api folder.
