Roles for Events

Has anyone done anything in regard to Roles for events, other than Leader? For example, a club can hold a function where members might be assigned roles for the event - e.g. Equipment Manager, Check-in Desk, Speaker, etc. This functionality would be very helpful to have.

no until now there is nothing possible than to add a leader to an event.

Thanks Fasse - it would be very helpful for a group that I am working with - a volunteer cycling club - should I put it into GitHub as an enhancement suggestion?
