Hi there - I have users who have forgotten their password - they use the Forgotten Password function to have a new one sent to them via email - a new password is received OK, but it does not work - they can not get access - however, they found their old password and it does work - is there a problem with the password reset function?

Do the users really insert the correct email address or username they have registered?
The dialog doesn't give an error message if you use a wrong address to prevent robots to get valid users.

This is a reoccurring problem with Email as a whole not Sending (not just limited to the New Password Send) that I am trying to resolve - the logs look fine in that there are no Invalid email addresses being logged.
Some questions:
1. When a message is sent and the "message sent" confirmation comes up on the screen, does this actually mean that the message has been successfully conveyed to the Mail Exchange Server and acknowledged, or just that Admidio thinks it has been posted?
2. Does Admidio request anything in the way of preserving or deleting the Emails sent on the MX Server?
3. Have other users reported significant issues with emails being treated as spam by the recipients?

Be aware that many ISP's now demand the sender-ID for the mail, has to be a mailaddress that is part of the domain.

With Admidio v4.0 (not available yet) we have improved Email logs. If you still have the problem you could maybe debug it with this
