Hello ADMIDIO
Could it be an idea to have an extra field like the new comment field. This field should be editable for only the leader(s) of an event.
What should it be used for ?
Well - it seems from ver. 3.3 ( and some future ), that The event part of ADMIDIO will be an outstanding tool, for managing events.
It should be the only place, You have to collect all information for an event, and for managing the members participation for this event. You can keep track of who and how many has reacted to an invitation for an event. You can see if they chose to participate or not, and You can see if they have not yet reacted. You can see if they have made remarks for their participation and You can see ( if it is allowed for the event ) if and how many guests for a participation. Later hopefully, participation-stop-date/time, easy invitation via mail and waiting lists.
BUT - as leader of the event, You might want to keep track of who has paid ( and maybe how much ) for their participation, or other things that the leader want to remark for the specific participation.
Therefore it would be nice, if there was a field similar to the new comment field, but a field, only those who are marked as leaders for the event, should have access to. The field could be view-able, but not editable for the user.
This field should be editable ( for the event-leader ) even when the participation for the event is closed ( the date/time for closing is reached ). This because maybe the payment or so, will take place after the lock-date but before the eventstart.
Could this new comment-field be an idea for the ADMIDIO ?

Hello John,
we are aware that the new functions of the event module are basically the first step for further enhancements and for sure new ideas.
As Fasse mentioned in a phone conference a few days ago, the new functions are a Milestone in the Admidio history and I definitly agree. What we did now was to enhance the module with the most interesting stuff appreciated from our Forum Users since several years.
Now, we should try to get the new functions stable for active systems and stop further enhancements for the 3.3 Beta Test.
We want to start the offical beta test in a few weeks. This will be announced in the Forum.
Also we have to take care about our planned timeline for the 3.3 release.
After that we can discuss about further improvements and functions. A little bit more will come for the 3.3, but not great stuff.
If you have new ideas or improvements requests you could create a feature request in our issue tracker system on the github project.

This also makes it easier for us to keep the overview and the issues will not be lost.
