When a user click on the "Forgotten Password?", an email is sent to the user with a new password by the Admidio application. This email takes over 15 minutes, sometimes over a half hour to get delivered to the user presently.
Is there some way to speed this up in Admidio?
I don't think this is a server issue as in another Joomla application on this server, those emails are returned instantaneously.

This could not be an issue of Admidio because we send the Email emmidiately. If not the script will hang about 15 Minutes and will show nothing. But I think this is not so.
Are all emails of Admidio have this time delay?

Ok, I looked at the email headers in detail to identify the delay. I have a ticket in to my ISP to help resolve the issue. Best as I can tell, localhost is passing the email to the ISP host instantaneously, but for some reason it is delayed there for 20 minutes before it leaves on the next hop all the way to delivery.
So, I agree, it does not seem to be an Admidio issue. I'll post what the ISP tells me once I get a response. Thank you.

Very definitely an ISP problem! Now to get them to fix it....
