SMTP issue

Hi, email module works fine using PHP mail(), but no matter what settings i try with SMTP i keep getting an email failure message. I know it worked on 2.4.4, now on 2.4.6 and refuses to work. Any ideas? thanks

Hello mbs,

I have done some tests with different Mailservers, but I can't reproduce it.
first of all, please try to update to Version 2.4.7 -> there was no update in this modul, but you never can be sure.

if possible, please give us more information about your error.

most of the time such errors happen, because of provider settings.

the only other idea i have at this moment is to update the PHPMailer version to an actual build.
because we are using an 1 year old in the actual Versions of Admidio.

there was an Update of the phpmailer component in Version 2.4.6. Maybe there was a change that cause Problems within your Installation. Can you post the exact error Message?

A question, do you get the Error if you send the mail to a single person or only of you send it to a role?

seems to error either to role or individual
